Summer is here and that means plenty of time spent outdoors enjoying the sun. With that comes not only wanting to feel our best but also look our best. Losing a few pounds can be tricky but if done correctly can be achieved in a relatively quick manner. The hardest part of losing weight is sticking to it and not being steered off course by temptation. Hold your ground and think of the end results if you do face that kind of temptation.

When your wanting to lose weight quickly, the first thing you should do is cut back on sugar and starches which are better known as carbs. These types of food stimulate secretion of insulin the most inside our bodies. Insulin is whats considered the main fat storage hormone in the body. When your insulin goes down, then your body has an easier time releasing your bodies fat storage. This mean you are burning fat now instead of burning carbs.

Another important step in losing weight fast is by eating more protein, fat and vegetables. Every single meal you eat should contain some kind of protein, fat & vegetables. Protein comes from a bunch of delicious sources such as: chicken, beef, pork, bacon, lamb, salmon, lobster, trout, eggs and more. Having more protein in your system helps you feel full longer and also helps your body burn more calories while you’re at rest.

When it comes to vegetables some are actually better then others. A lot of fruits & vegetables are actually full of carbs and sugars. Those are the ones you want to avoid. The ones you should be eating include: broccoli, cauliflower, kale, spinach, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, swish chard, lettuce, cucumber, celery and more. Usually if its green, it means its clean to eat. Your fat you can get from sources such as: olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and butter.

Now that you’re eating right the next step in losing weight quickly is by working out. You want to do a mix of both cardio and weight lifting. The more muscle your body has the more calories you will burn at rest. Working out an average of three times per week will kick your body into a fat burning machine. This along with the proper diet will have you toned and ready to hit the beach this summer.
